Sta. Rosa: Day Tour in Nuvali

It was simply a spur of the moment decision when me and 2 other friends speed off to Nuvali, a few minutes away from our houses in Biñan. By car, we drove from Carmona exit to Sta. Rosa exit passing through Paseo de Sta. Rosa and other high-end subdivisions.

One good factor as to what makes Nuvali worth visiting is its wide range of restaurants perfect for foodies. Some of the finest restaurants that can be found in Solenad 1 include Starbucks, Conti's, Italianni's, Yellow Cab, Brother's Burger, Pig Out. As you can see, this is a great area for a wonderful food trip, dine alfresco with a good lake view to boot.

By the looks of their map, Nuvali offers more than just a lakeside view. They also have hectares of wildlife sanctuary that's perfect for bird watching, a trail system perfect for biking and running, FIFA sized football fields, baseball fields and volleyball court available for rent. For a much cheaper alternative, here are some recreational activities you can do for a day tour in Nuvali:
  • Bike Php60/hour
  • Outdoor movie (Yes, they have this called Night Sky Cinema. In fact last February 16, they showed a classic "Breakfast at Tiffany's")
  • Fish Feeding Php15/pack
  • Picnics
  • Ride water taxis Php30/pax
  • check out exhibit at EcoLiving Center
  • Spa
  • Shopping in Solenad
  • Wakeboard (REPUBL1C WAKEPARK is another world class water park facility)

Nuvali is also a home to a number of call centers, a great alternative for those living in southern luzon provinces instead of commuting all the way to busy, noisy and traffic jungle called Makati. I just hope Nuvali wouldn't be as crowded and polluted like the big financial cities of Metro Manila.

Sta. Rosa, Laguna made its first mark in tourism industry upon the opening of Enchanted Kingdom, the biggest theme park so far in the country. My family saw how this once quiet province emerged into a prime real estate, which now cradles luxury houses inside top of the notch subdivisions. Today, it's no longer just a good getway, no traffic road to traverse going to Tagaytay or other Hot spring resorts in nearby Laguna provinces, Sta. Rosa today is a destination per se.
